The post holder will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the local care & health economy to manage and achieve improvements in Trust services generally.
Responsible for supporting the contribution (inc performance), development and wellbeing of the individuals they directly line manage and ensuring direct reports do the same for staff in which they are responsible. Overseeing a culture in which staff are enabled to be the best that they can be.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior social work leader to join our All-Age Disabilities Care Group In Wirral as Head of Service – Mental Health (Adult Social Care) at the Trust. Responsible for the delivery and operation of the services and the professional leadership of all statutory social work activity within the Mental Health (Adult Social Care) Services; this key post will require the postholder to provide professional advice and assurance to the Head of Operations and the Associate Director for SMH & AAD and lead on all matters relating to Mental Health (Adult Social Care) governance, regulation, quality and professional practice standards. Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is proud to be an integrated provider and recognises the need to ensure a strong voice for social work and social care within the organisation.
The person will work closely with colleagues within the LA, including the Director of Adult Social Services, Commissioners, and the Principal Social Worker to provide assurance on the standards of professional practice, as well as leading on key transformation programmes. The Trust is a key supporter of vital organisations and the postholder will be supported to access all appropriate regional forums and professional practice support.
