Successful candidates will need to attend a 2 week induction, which will include a week of foundation training and a week of shadow shifts.


Salary
: £37,000 per annum (full-time)

With a great incentive scheme for permanent employees,double time for shifts worked, plus an incentive payment of £250 for every eight shifts worked in an 8-week roster period, or £125 for every 4 shifts worked in an 8-week roster period.


Experience
: 2 years' minimum experience required


Work Schedule
: 1 Day shifts-on, 1 day -shifts-off, 1 Night shift on 5 days off work pattern that allows you to plan your personal life and rest with ease(part time can also be discussed).

  • To undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and offer care to persons detained by the police or other agencies as required to assess fitness for detention, interview, release or transfer.

  • To undertake forensic examination of persons in police care to record (and if appropriate give opinion of cause of) injuries and/or collect DNA evidence

  • To collect specimens as required under legislation
  • To provide written statements as required
  • Following the relevant training, attend any Court or Tribunal as required
  • To make and maintain complete and accurate clinical records
  • To assess alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal
  • Identify vulnerabilities and safeguarding pathways
  • To support the clinical governance agenda of the organisation
  • Administer medications through PGDs (patient group directions) and PTPs (Patient treatment protocol)
