Chaperoning radiologists for specialist procedures, e.g. ultrasound.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical support worker to join our friendly multi professional team in providing a fully comprehensive breast service to the women of the Wirral.

You must be dedicated and committed to providing a high quality service to our patients customers and colleagues and have a flexible approach to working.

The newly refurbished digital department consists of 3 x- ray and 3 ultrasound rooms .

NVQ level 2 is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicant needs good communication skills, legible hand writing and basic keyboard skills.

A basic knowledge of IRMER regulations would be helpful.

  • To set up the trolley for Interventional procedures
  • To assist the Consultant Radiologists and Advanced Practitioners during Interventional procedure
  • To support the patients
  • To maintain cleanliness of the department
  • Assist with stock control/ordering of low cost basic consumables
  • Chaperoning radiologists for specialist procedures, e.g. ultrasound
  • Setting up sterile trolleys for FNA, core Biopsies procedures
  • Labelling slides for FNA’s etc and follow set guidelines for sending samples to the laboratory
  • Carry out patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI scanning procedures
  • Cannulate or assist with the cannulation of patients
  • Chaperone sonographers and radiologists during ultrasound examinations and procedures
  • Liaise with wards regarding inpatient appointment and preparation required for ultrasound examinations
