Health & Safety Coordinator in Ferrybridge!
The Health & Safety Coordinator is critical in establishing and improving health, safety, and environmental policies, with the aim of fostering a zero harm culture.
What you'll do: - Administer key EHS processes to ensure smooth and safe operations for all team members.
- Ensure complete site compliance with all UK law and statutes, business EHS best practices and site permit requirements. Support and act as a point on contact for audits and enquiries into the area of responsibility as required.
- Facilitate essential EHS training and all other local EHS initiatives.
- Lead site improvement projects as required for identified EHS improvements.
- Act as the sites focal point for ISO 450and ISO 14001, supporting all internal and external auditing, and closing any raised non-conformances.
- Support all team members at the local level with EHS advice as required to ensure continued compliance and governance of the sites EHS management systems.
What you'll bring: - Experience as a Safety Officer, Safety Advisor, HSE Officer or a role accountable for EHS compliance within the Manufacturing Industry.
- Completion of a NEBOSH General Certification.
- NEBOSH Diploma is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with all levels of associates.
- Project management experience and the ability to work effectively against SOPs.
