This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified nurse to join Elysium Healthcare, a leading provider of mental health services in the UK. The role offers a 12-month preceptorship program with expert support, training, and supervision to help the candidate apply their academic knowledge in real-life situations. The successful candidate will work at Thornford Park, a combination of medium secure and low secure units, providing personalized assessment and treatment programs for individuals with mental illness, complex care needs, and personality disorders.

As a preceptee nurse, the candidate will work 37.5 hours per week (12-hour shifts) at Thornford Park, where they will help people with mental health conditions through their recovery pathway to lead as fulfilling and independent a life as possible. The role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessment and treatment programs for individuals with mental illness, complex care needs, and personality disorders. The candidate will be developed to grow into a confident, autonomous professional with refined skills, values, and behaviors, with a focus on continuously developing themselves throughout their career with Elysium.

Where you will be working

Location: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET

 

You will work at Thornford Park which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.

You will work alongside the multidisciplinary to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/ complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder. Service users may have histories of offending and/or may have failed in previous placements.
