The Breast Care Unit are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker on a permanent contract.You will be working together as part of a multidisciplinary, professional team to assist the registered nurses and senior clinical staff in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care.
Our Staff Are Committed To Providing High Standards Of Individualised Care For The People Who Use Our Services, Whilst Maintaining Their Privacy And Dignity At All Times. With Training To Be
- To be able to implement nursing care packages in the outpatient nurse led clinics i.e. wound clinics, on Wards and assist in the operating theatre.
- To assist the Breast Care Nurse Practitioners to effectively run the breast nurse led service.
- To ensure that the outpatient clinics run smoothly and be responsible for training HCAs
You are expected to take a proactive role in supporting the Trust’s clinical governance agenda by:
- taking part in activities for improving quality such as Valuing Everyone’s Experience training or (for staff working within clinical specialties) clinical audit
- Identifying and managing risks through incident and near miss reporting and undertaking risk assessments
- Following Trust polices, guidelines and procedures
- Maintaining and improving your skills through continued professional development/your personal development plan agreed annually with your line manager.
