Purpose of the Position:
As the
Healthcare Assessor (Zero-Hour)
, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality training program that ensures timely completion of assessments, reviews, and overall achievement of required quality standards. Your role extends to supporting learners throughout their journey, providing constructive feedback, and preparing them for the Diploma and full L3 Apprenticeship standard of Senior Healthcare Support Worker.


Core Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange visits and engage with learners and line managers to facilitate induction, observation, and progression in the workplace.
  • Assess the work of learners in both virtual classrooms and workplaces, adhering to guidelines and set timeframes.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners, ensuring a professional and relevant approach to qualification advancement.
  • Conduct workplace observations, offering feedback in alignment with awarding body criteria.
  • Maintain accurate assessments, achieving verification, and submit paperwork within agreed timescales.
  • Conduct reviews with learners and line managers, monitoring progress and liaising with the Programme Manager.
  • Identify and address situations requiring periods of absence promptly, completing necessary paperwork.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of learner records, including both paper and electronic portfolios.
  • Visit various sites and locations as required, contributing to the overall success of the training program.
  • Foster positive relations with learners, line managers, and stakeholders.
  • Support participants in developing positive attitudes toward learning and studying.
  • Attend standardisation and team meetings, actively participating in the ongoing success of the program.
  • Undertake any other duties as required from time to time.

Key Relationships:

  • Maintain effective working relationships with learners and line managers within your caseload.
  • Communicate efficiently with your line manager, proactively highlighting and addressing any issues.
  • Cultivate professional working relationships with all Pearson TQ customers, promoting a positive image of Pearson TQ.
