NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.

The shift pattern is As per rota

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bone Marrow Transplant Team in Glasgow's QEUH. We are the National Service for Allogenic Haemopoietic Stem Cell Transplants in Scotland. We serve patients from all 14 Health boards with a population of almost 5.3 million people. Referrals are made by local Haematologists or Oncologists who believe their patient may benefit from a Bone Marrow Transplant. We also offer different types of transplant: Autologous, CORD, Haplo-Identical along with CAR-T therapies Previous Haem / Oncology experience would be desirable but not essential

  • We have a robust induction and education pathway for all staff who will be fully supported with a precetor. We have a designated Clinical Nurse Educator on the ward to facilitate and support all staff. We are proud to say we have received the 'Greatix Ward' award the last two years running. These nominations came from patients feeding back on their ward experience and staff 'going the extra mile' to support each other, patients, and their relatives / carers. Please contact the Senior Charge Nurses for Ward 4B (Bernadette Shanley or Danielle Gow / ) if you would like to attend an informal information session about the position and support offered to staff within the unit.
