Job Description - Nursery Classroom Assistant


As a Nursery Classroom Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily activities of our nursery. You will work closely with our experienced staff to provide high-quality care and education for our children.


Key Responsibilities for a

Nursery Classroom Assistant


Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate activities.

  • Supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Observing and recording children's progress and sharing this information with the team and parents.
  • Assisting with meal times and personal care routines as needed.


Requirements


  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
