About the role
The Children & Families Division is dedicated to safeguarding and providing the best opportunities for the children of our Island. We are seeking a committed professional to join our Care Management team as a Social Worker, ensuring care and support for children in need, those under Child Protection Plans, and those requiring long-term support. A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Social Work service that provides assessment, support and interventions for children, young people and their families. We offer training and development opportunities alongside flexible working and manageable caseloads.
This post will involve the successful applicant in the care management of children and young people who are looked after, subject to a Child Protection Plan, subject to statutory orders and young people assessed as being in need of long term support. The post will require involvement in the delivery of therapeutic services where appropriate.
