We partner with our healthcare commissioners across the UK & Ireland to deliver services that help them manage demand and reduce waiting lists. We deliver services for, Urgent Treatment Centres, NHS 111, GP out of Hours and a National Clinical Assessment Service from our Urgent Care Division.

We have an exciting opportunity for Urgent Care Practitioner's to join our team based in Staffordshire House.


This post is to cover our AVS service until 30th September 2024


As an Urgent Care Practitioner, you will support the team in delivering high quality, timely patient centered care. You will be supported by either a GP or an Advanced Practitioner and undertake assessments for a range of health and clinical needs.


Your day to day...


The primary focus of the role is to work as an Urgent Care Practitioner is providing high quality and timely patient centred care. The post holder will:
  • Work as a part of a team, within a defined area of practice, within their scope of practice and with access to support from a GP or Advanced Practitioner
  • Undertake assessments of a range of health and clinical needs of a patient within scope of competence and using clinical practice skills and own clinical judgement diagnose, treat, refer or discharge patients

Qualifications, Experience & Training...

  • Registered Nurse - First Level Nurse or other healthcare professional with qualifications leading to registration
  • Clinical examination qualification
  • Evidence of continuous professional development related to work as a non-medical practitioner
  • Demonstrates advanced problem solving and decision-making skills supported using evidence based and/or best practice
  • Ability to assimilate large quantities of information quickly and accurately and communicate it clearly
