The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, patient focused and knowledgeable point of contact. The job summary is described below:Working closely with the office manager, to be a key contact for the service for all patient related and administrative matters.To be the key contact for the organisation of out-patient clinics, including clinic reduction/cancellations and making of urgent appointments.Provide secretarial support to the Ophthalmology Team.To monitor/validate patients throughout their pathway, from point of entry, escalating issues promptly, in order to ensure compliance with waiting time standards.As required, support the coordination of national and local audits by effective data collection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To be responsible for providing administrative support to Clinical Teams
To ensure that every patient pathway is tracked to be diagnosed and treated as quickly as possible, ensuring this is achieved within relevant RTT standards.
Maintain an up-to-date record of patient tracking and escalations must be kept on the Trust database.
To support the Team Leader and Service Manager to ensure all administrative process are delivered including data and evidence collection for relevant national audits.
To work within the Clinical Support Team to deliver high quality administrative services to designated clinical services.
Track designated patients throughout their pathway, from point of entry, escalating issues promptly, in order to ensure compliance with waiting time standards
Support the coordination of national and local audits by effective data collection as required
