YourGP

The role would be varied, fast-paced and require the successful candidate to be resourceful and able to think on their feet.
YourGP is a prestigious private GP practice with two clinics in Edinburgh; one based in the picturesque Dean Village area, and one in the New Town on Dundas Street. We offer a wide range of services, including but not limited to GP consultations, sexual health, complementary therapies, occupational health, cosmetic treatments, childhood vaccinations and travel health. Our approach is one that focuses on treating each patient with the highest possible level of clinical care and at the same time providing a friendly and reassuring experience.

You will be required to do some weekend work and variable hours during the week. It is essential you are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and possess excellent skills in communication and organisation. You will have the ability to work as a part of a close-knit team and on your own initiative with minimal supervision. Previous experience of working in a health care setting would be advantageous but full training will be given to the successful applicant.


Responsibilities


The role would be varied, fast-paced and require the successful candidate to be resourceful and able to think on their feet. The duties/responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Take phone calls and serve patients face-to-face at the front desk
  • Scan documentation and manage paperwork efficiently and in line with YourGP policies and GDPR
  • Assist with general housekeeping and ensuring patients are provided with tea, coffee or water in a timely manner
  • Take payments from customers as required
  • Monitor stock levels of office/general supplies and place orders as required

The ideal candidate will be proactive and possess great communication skills, as well as the following:


Essential


  • IT literate and able to use office applications and printer/scanner confidently
  • Excellent people skills and comfortable dealing with customers


Desirable


  • Previous office/reception experience
