An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced physiotherapist to join the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service at King's College Hospital.
The Cardiac Rehabilitation team is a multi-disciplinary team offering the highest standard of evidence-based patient care, promoting cardiac health, general well-being and positive lifestyle changes to patients post cardiac event or cardiac intervention.
We are looking for a well-organised Physiotherapist / Exercise Specialist who is able to take on their own caseload and work within our team ensuring quality care for our patients. You should possess experience in the care of cardiac patients, preferably backed by a relevant post-qualification course. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to impart complex information to patients, relatives and carers, with different levels of understanding and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work within a dynamic forward-thinking team. A keen interest in assisting patients with the physical, psychological and social aspects to their recovery is important for this role. Our aim is for our patients to enjoy an improved quality of life by giving them the tools to better understand and manage their cardiac condition.
The successful applicant will assist with provision of classes, clinics, and community rehabilitation sessions. We offer individualised advice, support and information to patients and their carers in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We would anticipate the successful applicant would share our enthusiasm to explore new and innovative ways of working within other cardiovascular specialities.
