This role may be just what you need to revitalise your love for nursing . As part of the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 team, the Public Health Nurse will be supported to work within a defined area, assessing need, delegating work within the team, implementing planned programmes of care and evaluating care delivered.
The postholder will develop the skills to provide a child centred, inclusive, holistic and accessible Public Health programme for children, their families and communities.
This role will promote the physical and emotional well-being of children, and young people, supporting them to establish good health now and in the future. Working on early intervention, health promotion, advocacy, empowerment and inclusion, to reduce health inequalities and ensure children are supported to reach their full potential

Across Luton and Bedfordshire Healthy Child Programme we are developing an exciting opportunity for NMC registered practitioners to work with children and families from the antenatal period up to 19 years of age.
If you have a current Band 5 NMC registration, you are excited by innovation, and are passionate about the public health agenda and improving health outcomes for children, young people and families, then this may be the career choice for you.
You will work in an integrated 0-19 team within our Luton and Bedfordshire Children and Young People's Health Services.
You will be supported to develop in the role, gaining the skills and knowledge you require to support the skill mix team to deliver our service confidently and competently. You will have the opportunity to work both virtually and in person, gaining experience of our universal offer and providing targeted support within the community.
Please note that this role requires you to be able to travel to visit various bases, other services, and families at home.
