Do you have a passion for patient safety? An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Patient safety Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Hospitals NHS FT (UHDB).

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to support the delivery of the patient safety agenda, with particular focus on sepsis, deteriorating patient and falls.

The Patient Safety Support Nurse Will Support The Delivery Of The Patient Safety Elements Of The Trust Strategies, Working Under The Direction Of The Patient Safety Practitioner And The Senior Falls Practitioner. This Will Involve

Developing a culture of reviewing patient safety incidents to identify learning and lead on improvements.

Providing direction, expertise, advice and support to clinical staff and managers relating to patient safety.

Facilitating and supporting staff in driving forward continuous improvement, embedding a patient safety culture across the organisation.

Promoting innovative and creative approaches to improving clinical quality performance.

Leading on patient safety related projects, ensuring projects are established, run and monitored in line with Trust standards.

Engaging, facilitating and supporting teams to drive forward national and local initiatives to deliver and measure improvements in patient safety.
