Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organisational Management:
    • Lead the practice in operational planning.
    • Drive change management initiatives to enhance practice performance and patient care.
    • Oversee HR operations, ensuring staff are supported, motivated, and able to perform to their best abilities.
    • Manage and support the IT/Admin Lead to efficiently maximise all IT resources & to optimise service delivery.
    • Ensure smooth daily operations, enabling patients to access high-quality care.
  2. Human Resources:
    • Manage the recruitment & retention of practice staff.
    • Ensure compliance with current HR legislation.
    • Implement and embed an effective appraisal system ensuring all staff have an active PDP.
    • Manage the practice disciplinary process including sickness and absence.
  3. Governance
    :
    • Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission standards and other clinical governance requirements.
    • Ensure all polices are embedded into the practice and all staff adhere to them.
    • Monitor and audit practice activities as needed.
  4. Health & Safety & Estates Management:
    • Lead on Health & Safety obligations such as risk assessments and staff mandatory training.
    • Act as first point of contact for all matters relating to the premises.

Eastwood Primary Care Centre is looking to strengthen its management team, which currently comprises of the Managing Partner, the Finance Manager and the Assistant Practice Manager. We also have departmental leads to support the daily operations of the practice.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Practice Manager, passionate about our healthcare service, to lead the operational management of the practice. The successful candidate will complement the existing team providing operational leadership to the whole practice, driving change to improve our patient services and supporting the partners and staff to achieve the aims and goals of the practice.
