1. To undertake and/or contribute to psychological assessments of service users presentation, needs and risk, which may include a range of psychometric testes, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with service users, carers and others involved in their care or management.

2. To assist in the development of service users psychological formulations, and the development of a psychologically informed framework of understanding the service user, within the team.

3. To assist in the development of care plans, involving the treatment and/or management of a service users difficulties and risk behaviours.

4. To assist in the co-ordination and facilitation of therapeutic groups.

5. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings.

To support and enhance the professional psychological care and risk management of service users within the service and across all relevant agencies.

The post holder is expected to work in wide range of settings, including prisons and approved premises, but will be primarily based at the Resettle service in Liverpool. This role will require travel across the Cheshire region to visit users and therefore a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

To support service users on release from custody to help successful reintegration back into society.

This will involve providing practical and emotional support and interventions in the community. There will also be close working with other professionals and qualified staff
