Experience of providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed interventions for improving children and young people's mental health.
Are you a qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP), or Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP), who is passionate about supporting children and young people with their mental health in education settings?
If you are, we are currently recruiting for 2 posts to join our Hastings or Eastbourne and Hailsham Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in East Sussex! One post is permanent and the other is fixed term for 12 months.
The MHSTs deliver evidence-based interventions using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic (CBT) approach in schools. We work directly with children and young people aged 7-17 with mild to moderate mental health issues, and their parents and carers. We also work with schools to develop or enhance their whole-school approach to emotional/mental health and wellbeing.
You will receive clinical and case management supervision to support your interventions, and have access to comprehensive training opportunities to enhance your skills and develop professionally in your role.
We are looking for people who have:
- A passion and commitment for working with children and young people
- Experience of providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed interventions for improving children and young people's mental health
- Knowledge of school systems
- Strong organisational skills
