We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a
Veterinary Receptionist at Gourley Veterinary Surgeons.



Location:
Across our two sites; Ashton-under-Lyne and Denton (so the ability to travel is essential)


Contract:
Permanent


Hours:
34 hours per week


Mixed Shift Pattern:
Monday – Friday (eg: 07.45 - 14.45 / 14.15 - 20.00 / 07.45 - 20.00)

About The Role


Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice


What We're Looking For In Our Veterinary Receptionist


  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
