An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Instructor to join our outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation team at St Thomas' Hospital. You will be a key member of the team co-ordinating and delivering pulmonary rehabilitation for patients with chronic lung conditions in Lambeth and Southwark. You will be based in St. Thomas' hospital and work across the community sites in Lambeth and Southwark.
The post holder will have excellent communication skills and will gain experience supervising specialist exercise for patients.
The funding for this post has been obtained from NHS England for the expansion of pulmonary rehabilitation. The funding is for 12 months and we would welcome secondments to the post from members of staff wishing to gain experience in the pulmonary rehabilitation setting as well as external candidates.
This post will require the post holder to deliver high quality exercise and education physiotherapy interventions for patients living with chronic lung disease.
You will be expected to:
You will have completed NVQ Level 4 or have significant experience of working with patients or clients within a health and exercise setting. You will have excellent communication, and team working skills. This post would suit an applicant who is able to manage their own time effectively and be confident to work unsupervised for part of the day.
