Cleaning Operative

Location: Wellington College, Belfast
Hours Per Week: 16hrs - Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri (3pm-6pm), Thurs (2pm-6pm)
Job Type:
Part-Time
The Cleaning Operative Shall
- Sweep, suction clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, spray wax, machine scrub and dry, strip and re-polish floors using appropriate equipment
- Clean and remove stains of soft floor surfaces (carpets/matting) using the appropriate cleaning method
- Clean body fluids/solids from time to time using the appropriate cleaning method
- Clean toilet and shower areas including the fixtures and fittings and replenish toiletries.
- Clean, wash and dust ledges, walls, fixtures, fittings and internal surfaces. Polishing furniture where appropriate
- Empty and clean internal litter bins and remove litter to the designated collection points
- Use and care for any cleaning equipment issued in an appropriate and safe manner
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Any other reasonable duties required by the Facilities Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the contract
About You
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrate previous experience in a similar cleaning role
- Demonstrate and be able to speak conversational English
Desirable Criteria
Please note that Applicants will not be expected to meet any (or all) of the desirable criteria to be considered for interview. Desirable criteria will only be used as part of the shortlisting process in the event there are a large number of Applicants.
