Applications are for full time at Heatherwood Theatres which consists of 3 weeks of 3 days at 07:30-19:30 and 1 week of 4 days at 07:30-19:30, this equals 150 hours per month.

Working alongside the Trust’s experienced staff you will be supported to gain the apprenticeship qualification and functional skills in maths and English if required. You will not be required to undertake an apprenticeship if you have previously completed a relevant apprenticeship, NVQ or similar qualification.

A Healthcare Assistant (HCA) in Operating Theatres works as part of the multidisciplinary team. They assist setting up Theatres and preparing the Theatre and patient for surgery. The HCA assists the Theatre practitioners and surgical team during surgical procedures with equipment, instruments and patient care.
