Band 6: £42,470 to £50,364 a year inc HCA  PERMANENT 

Assist researchers within HLCC in the preparation of commercially funded research grants.

Facilitate post-award and project set-up processes, ensuring funding information is passed on to other members of the Research Office in a timely and efficient manner.

Assist the Research Development Manager and Research Development Associate in organising and implementing research development initiatives in the Trust and promoting the Trusts research activities to internal and external stakeholders.

Contribute to the collection of data and preparation of reports including assessment of grant submissions, grant awards, research publication outputs and other assessments of research activity, outputs and impact.

Promote the corporate image of the Trust and its research activity.

Provide costs for research grants, liaising with Finance and other Trust departments as necessary.

Act as Associate AcoRD (Attributing the costs of health and social care Research & Development) Specialist, maintaining a working knowledge of AcoRD and its application in the NHS.

We are seeking to appoint a Research Development Officer to the Research Office of the Heart, Lung and Critical Care (HLCC) Clinical Group of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The Research Development Officer will play a key role in delivering the Trust's service for research development, assisting, and facilitating HLCC Clinical Group researchers in their research endeavours, thereby supporting the Trust to develop and grow its research business. The post is hybrid, working 2 to 3 days per week on site and working across our four hospitals (Royal Brompton Hospital, Harefield Hospital, Guy's Hospital, St. Thomas' Hospital) as required. Part-time working will be considered for the right candidate.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified on or before Monday 14th October with interviews expected planned for Tuesday 22nd October.

They will also assist the Research Development Team in raising the profile of research internally and externally through various events and campaigns, highlighting the support of the Research Office to research staff and communicating research funding and training opportunities.
