We have a vacancy for an Independent Living Officer taking a lead on supporting rehousing applicants requiring Extra Care and adapted properties will lead on the management of both waiting lists. In addition, manage the administrative functions to support the Occupational Therapist assessing Stockport Homes’ customers requiring complex major adaptations.
Assessing risk and working effectively with in-house teams and external statutory and voluntary agencies (such as Social Care) for the benefit of customers is key to success in this role.
We are looking for someone whose previous experience of working with vulnerable individuals in a supportive capacity will empower customers to achieve successful outcomes. Passion, self-motivation, persistence & determination are skills required from the successful candidate to engage & support customers with a range of complex needs.
Candidates will have robust IT skills in order to effectively caseload manage as well as utilise Microsoft packages. Previous experience of clear & accurate recording of customer interventions is also required.
A driving licence & access to a vehicle is necessary for this role.
