To process patients and other documentation as for the need of the service.

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

To provide a high standard of clerical support to our patients and department, whilst adhering to the departmental guidelines and policies.

The post holder will receive and check documentation, reports, patient information and processing appropriately within the departmental guidelines, including entering information and uploading documentation on to appropriate IT systems, and retrieving information as and when required. Prepping documentation for clinics, ensuring all investigations are available for consultants. NHS eligibility for funding purposes for overseas patients.

The post holder will need to be competent using NHS mail / Outlook, although training will be given, whilst adhering to confidentiality.

The post holder will answer telephone enquiries and signposting patients appropriately. This is a non-facing patient role.

To provide an administrative / clerical service to the department / team. To support the delivery of our high standard of service to patients, staff, and all Trust departments.

Our admin time is crucial in supporting the running of the Fertility Service at Leeds Centre for Reproductive Medicine, and we are looking to expand our team.

The LCRM (Leeds Centre for Reproductive Medicine) is a service that offers a comprehensive fertility assessment and accepts referrals for specialist treatment including IVF if required.

We currently have 2 full-time positions available. We would also consider part-time applicants.

We are looking for clerical officers to provide a high standard of clerical support to our patients and department.

The applicant should be a confident and self-motivated person who works to a high professional standard. They should work on their own initiative, work accurately to deadlines, and demonstrate effective time management as it is an essential part of this job role. The applicant must be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with a wide range of people including, patients, families, medical staff and outside sources such as GP Surgeries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for checking report documentation, and patient information whilst adhering to our confidentiality and data protection policies. Answer telephone enquiries. Check NHS eligibility for private and overseas patients for funding purposes. Have the knowledge of using NHS.mail and / or Outlook, although training will be given.
