Job summaryThis is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, flexible and hard working individual to join the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Outpatient Department at St Michael's Hospital, Bristol.
Working as part of a small team in a busy environment, you will draw on your experience and skills to effectively communicate with patients, clinicians and peers to support the effective management of a range of administrative tasks.
Previous experience of being an initial point of contact for patients.
Ability to use initiative and manage your own workload.
The ability to communicate both via telephone and in writing.
Appetite to learn and develop.
IT literate. Previous experience using Careflow or other patient administration system is desirable.
Main duties of the jobCommunication
:
- To support the triaging of referrals Manage patient communications via telephone & through Trust systems
- Facilitate the building of Clinics and the booking of Gynaecology and Antenatal Appointments
- Be point of contact & liaise with clinical & non-clinical staff viatelephone & email
- Escalate queries, capacity problems & general issues
- Communicate changes to clinics & appointments to patients
