The purpose of this role is to be an integral part of the catering team and provide a professional, friendly and efficient service to the Academy and support staff at all times. You will be required to provide exceptional catering support, maintaining a clean and presentable food and catering service area at all times ensuring the highest level of standard is maintained.
This is Your City
As part of our team, you will be entitled to 26 days annual leave plus an additional day off for your birthday, private healthcare and a simply health cash plan, an annual discretionary bonus, plus a range of partnership and lifestyle discounts.
Your Impact
- To prepare the MCFC refectory for opening, breakfast, lunch and dinner (where provided) on a daily basis to the required standard
- To provide an efficient and effective service to customers, understanding their needs and requirements, working to exceed these wherever possible.
- To assist where required in the serving of food and drinks ensuring correct portion control.
- To provide a first class service for all internal and external events.
- To ensure all health and safety standards are maintained and all company policies are adhered too, particularly in respect of food safety.
What we are looking for
Essential
- Proven experience in a catering or hospitality environment
- Excellent communication skills. Excellent customer care skills.
- Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team.
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
Desirable
- A good understanding of best practise when handling or storing food.
- Relevant food safety certificates
