The current vacancy is based in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd though as the Resuscitation Service is a single service across all sites of the health board, there will be the opportunity to work across all three acute sites and community settings to help gain valuable experience.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This is a developmental role from a B6 Resus Trainer, leading onto a B7 Resus Officer as skills and experience develop.
The successful applicant will be required to be a qualified Immediate Life Support or Paediatric Immediate Life Support instructor. On appointment the postholder would be delivering training upto and including basic life support and immediate life support training across BCU services, and other healthcare settings as the B6 Resuscitation Trainer.

Once successfully recognised as an Advanced course instructor the post would evolve to a B7 'Resuscitation Officer' where additional duties and responsibilities will include advanced life support instruction.
In addition to the training aspect of the role, the successful applicant would support ongoing audits ensuring improved patient safety and Quality Improvement, as well as being an active member of the Resuscitation Committee, and part of the emergency response teams on the acute sites which provides a balance of clinical work / regular teaching.
