Band 7: £48,270 to £54,931 a year per annum incl HCAS  PERMANENT 
Post holder is expected to work collaboratively with In Patient and Out Patient teams as well as our Specialist Nurses, Consultants and Support Teams.

The post holder will be accountable for ensuring the highest standard of clinical care is provided within the relevant setting. They will be easily identifiable to clients and users, provide strong, visible leadership and have the appropriate level of authority to provide support, advice and assistance required by patients, their families and carers. Emphasis on the areas of Patient/Client Safety, Patient Experience, User engagement and Clinical Outcomes will be essential.

An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for a Post Operative Senior Sister / Senior Charge Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team of nurses in Heatherwood Hospital Elective Centre.If you are an experienced nurse/ charge nurse and looking for your next challenge, could this be a role for you?The post holder will undertake and supervise clinical practice, audit, research, and teaching to set, monitor and continuously improve standards of care and patient experience.The nursing team provide high standards of post operative quality care, whilst ensuring patients have the best possible experience.You will be operationally responsible to manage Post Operative Service at Heatherwood Centre and will be instrumental in supporting strategic changes and improvement initiatives for the department.

Post holder is expected to work collaboratively with In Patient and Out Patient teams as well as our Specialist Nurses, Consultants and Support Teams. You must demonstrate excellent EPIC / IT, organisational and managerial skills and show a commitment to ensuring high standards of care, safety and quality are maintained. To be managerially responsible for the Nurses in the department within the agreed establishment figures. To have budgetary responsibility for the rostering of staff and to actively participate in the clinical activity, provide cover as needed within establishment. To provide the leadership and management, organisation, teaching and development of the nursing team and expand the Post Operative Service within variety of Specialist Services. To collaborate closely with Clinical nurse specialists and wider MDT in developing and providing specialised nursing care programmes to a diverse range of patients.
