As a Clinical Psychologist/CBT Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in our Community Mental Health Team, focusing on older people's mental health needs.
We are a dynamic community mental health service for older people and would like you to join us. We are looking to recruit a Practitioner Psychologist or CBT Therapist in Peterborough. Excellent training opportunities are available along with access to specialist supervision in CAT and Cognitive Assessments.
We are a group of Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologist, Occupational Therapists and an Occupational Therapy Assistant and work with a full MDT. We host placements for Trainees from the University of East Anglia. We are a proactive team with a strong plan for the further development of the provision of psychological therapies.
The Stepped Care Therapy Team links in with the integrated physical and mental health Neighbourhood Teams, the Memory Assessment Service, and Social Care Team. The breadth of work is ideal for a newly qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, or an experienced CBT therapist.
As a Clinical Psychologist/CBT Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in our Community Mental Health Team, focusing on older people's mental health needs. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual therapy, and developing and implementing personalised treatment plans. Your expertise will guide our team in promoting positive mental health outcomes for older adults and their families.
The candidate’s role would include the provision of assessment, formulation and evidence-based intervention including, where appropriate, specialist neuropsychological assessment. There is an expectation that the post holder would provide advice and consultation for non-psychology colleagues. The role would involve multidisciplinary working with both mental health and physical health staff.
We also have a great CPD programme within the service and across the wider mental health service. We also have been able to support members of the service to engage in additional training, including CBT for personality disorder and psychosis, EMDR, and DBT skills. There is also active interest in developing neuropsychological components of the service to support memory assessment.
