The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team provides assessment, treatment and advice to children and young adults aged 0-19 with a wide range of needs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team and be part of our service-wide transformation following recommendations from the Balanced System analysis. We have positions available in all pathways including dysphagia.
We pride ourselves on continuously reflecting on how we can achieve positive change for families we work with. We believe in neurodiversity-affirming care and strength-based approaches.
Job plans ensure an achievable balance between clinical and non-clinical responsibilities and facilitate significant intervention time to deliver meaningful and effective packages of care.
We prioritise wellbeing with regular team away days, which strengthen us as a team, whilst celebrating individual talents and skills. Regular supervision and training is available to facilitate professional development.
One of our most recent recruits said this about NHFT Children’s Speech & Language Therapy Team:
“There’s always someone available if you need some advice .. I would think anyone lucky to be in this team as it’s very warm and welcoming, made even better by days where we do have general fun together. I would say the sense of team is really felt.”
If you are passionate about a clinical area and want to build and extend your knowledge and expertise further, as part of a supportive and inclusive team, please apply.
The Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Team provides assessment, treatment and advice to children and young adults aged 0-19 with a wide range of needs. We work in partnership with families, other health professionals and colleagues in education to maintain a holistic approach to the management of the child.
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
