Speech and Language Therapist
Band 5: £28,4£34,581

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified speech & language therapist who wants to develop community experience or a speech & language therapy student qualifying in Summer 2024 to join the Adult Community SLT Service in South Kirklees.
Locala Adult Speech and Language Therapy service provides comprehensive care for adults in a variety of community settings. We provide specialist triage, assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment and discharge recommendations for adults with a range of acquired communication difficulties, neurogenic voice problems and eating drinking and swallowing difficulties.
We offer a hybrid approach to care via virtual and direct patient care, along with excellent clinical, management and peer supervision, regular team meetings and continuing professional development, including opportunity to complete post graduate dysphagia training.
For newly qualified SLT we will support to complete the RCSLT competencies. We are committed to learning and development for identified clinical and professional skills.
We are looking for a motivated and committed therapist to work with us in our established, innovative and friendly team. You will also work with the wider multidisciplinary team within Community Rehabilitation Services providing you with opportunity to develop and share skills.
We offer an excellent system of induction, appraisal, clinical supervision and training opportunities.
You must be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
