Decontamination Technician Location: Oaks Hospital, Colchester Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits Summary: Oaks Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality private hospital treatments and services. Located on the outskirts of Colchester, the hospital opened on this site in 1994 and currently has 57 bedrooms including three twin-bedded rooms all with en-suite facilities to ensure complete privacy throughout your stay. The Role: As the Decontamination Technician you will join the Team and support the Theatre services within the hospital. You will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will support the provision of a high quality sterilization/decontamination service in accordance with Ramsay policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing the full decontamination cycle on re-usable medical devices (surgical instruments) to the highest of standards, in line within all Ramsay policies and procedures
  • Participate fully in quality control processes ensuring procedures and documentation is completed accurately at all times
  • What you'll bring with you:
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Experience as a Decontamination Technician within a health care setting or a similar role in a similar environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrated customer services skills
