Personal Assistant/Carer


Hours of Work:
8 Hours per week on average


Rates of Pay:
£11.95 per hour gross.

Private address in the Camden area


Purpose Of Job


  • To assist with a variety of tasks which will support the employer ‘s daughter to live an independent personal and social life.
  • As my Personal Assistant your job will be to provide the personal and domestic assistance to my young adult daughter who has autism, I require reliability and punctuality from my Personal Assistant, who must also be able to respect my privacy and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of their work.


Supervision


  • As my Personal Assistant you will be directed by, and accountable to me in all aspects of your work.


Main Duties:
My Personal Assistant will be expected to perform the following tasks -

  • To provide support with daily living skills, including assistance with meal preparation, housekeeping.
  • To support my daughter out in the community, by taking her to sporting activities, shopping, appointments, and other various activities on request
  • To aid with personal care and taking of medication if required such as being able to administer an Epi-pen.


These duties may vary from day to day.



Essential



Qualifications and Experience:


  • Experience in dealing with autism, preferably young adults.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Willing to undertake activities such as swimming.
  • Female
