Our Brighton Hospital are looking for an exceptional Senior MRI Radiographer with Body cross sectional/ Neuro/MSK and Cardiac technical skills able to support the department in its many specialities. We have several specialties to include, Orthopaedics, Spinal surgery, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, General Surgery, Urology, Gynae, Breast and Cardiology. As a Senior Radiographer (MRI), you will: Be working within our busy, friendly Radiology team, with a brand-new MRI Siemens SOLA now being installed and start to work by the end of May 2024. Undertake MRI examinations without direct supervision which are protocoled by you, and Radiologists, seeking advice where required. Undertake all types of different MR Cardiac scans (very desirable skill for this job) Supervise and develop more junior staff. Be able to perform imaging examinations with due regard to patient's privacy and dignity and taking into account the supplied clinical information and their physical / mental status. Remain proficient in the use of all equipment used throughout all Modalities. Develop an understanding of local protocols and contribute to referral vetting processes. Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose informing senior staff of any faults. Work with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment, and facilities. To succeed as a Senior Radiographer (MRI), you will need: A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Competence in IV cannulation and contrast administration. Dedicated post registration MRI and experience relevant to the role, with additional Cardiac training. High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
