An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Endoscopy Health Care Support Worker to join our Endoscopy Team at Powys Teaching Health Board. This is a full-time and permanent opportunity.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team providing high quality, comprehensive care. Working under the supervision of our Endoscopy Practitioners and as part of a close and friendly team to deliver a high standard of care to our patient's both pre and post procedure.
You will be required to assist our clinical team in providing exemplary care within endoscopy and will perform a range of clinical and non-clinical duties as directed by the Registered Practitioner. Following training assist in the decontamination of endoscopes and within the clean room in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures.
Contribute to the assessment of care needs and the implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, participating and contributing to the wider clinical governance agenda including service development and flexible working to meet the needs of the patients and service.
The post holder will include using specialist skills in the preparation and decontamination processes for endoscopy procedures. Work in a multidisciplinary and multi-agency arena alongside other members of the primary and community teams. There is also a requirement to supervise junior staff and regularly work without direct supervision of a qualified nurse or ODP.
