Are you currently an Intensive Care Pharmacist who is looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist with Critical Care experience to join our pharmacy team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated Good by the CQC. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with excellent clinical skills to lead and transform our pharmacy services for Critical Care and Antimicrobial Stewardship.

The Wellington covers a number of specialist units including ICU Gynaecology CCU/HDU, Cardiac Treatment and Digestive Health. Joining this team can give you experience and exposure to these different areas and experts within these fields.

You must possess the vision and enthusiasm to take the services forward. You will be responsible for providing high quality comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across two intensive care units in the Wellington South and North hospitals. In addition, you will be the lead pharmacist for antimicrobial stewardship where you will oversee the coordination of the microbiology ward rounds and support on the antimicrobial stewardship strategy for the hospital.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist for Critical Care & Antimicrobial Stewardship will lead and assist with the quality, governance, and assurance of the pharmacy services for Critical Care. In addition, they will work as part of the multidisciplinary Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) team at the hospital to deliver the AMS strategy.
