About The Role

As a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP), you will assume the responsibility of fulfilling statutory duties outlined in the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and the Care Act. You will play an invaluable role in our 24/7 AMHP / out of hours service, offering support to individuals during their most challenging times.

About you:


As an integral part of our team, we are seeking individuals who possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Personal Approved Mental Health Professional status (Warranted) and a Professional Qualification in Social Work, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining the necessary credentials.
  • Post-qualifying experience, including direct work with individuals who have mental health needs. This first-hand experience will be highly valuable in your role.
  • Possession of a current full driving license and access to a vehicle will be essential for fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
  • A solid working knowledge of legislation, safeguarding practices, conducting assessments, preparing care plans, and monitoring and reviewing outcomes is required to excel in this role.
