Main duties of the jobAbout the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Optical Assistant to join our community team. Our community clinics are based locally in GP surgeries,or mobile units. Thisallows us to see patients more locally in the community for their appointments, making their appointments accessible for them.As an Optical Assistant,in a community clinic,the successful candidatewill independently run your own clinics by performing diagnostic tests on the patients, providing high quality, easily accessible ophthalmology care in the area. Our diagnostic tests include, 2D and 3D scans of the back of the eye, taking measurements of the eye pressure, checking patients peripheral visions, and checking their visions on the reading charts. The successful candidate will have full training with our clinical team on all aspects of the role.
