Receptionist / Coordinator - Private Doctors - £34k to £37k - Central London


An opportunity in a small private, Doctors Practice in central London, is looking for a Receptionist / Coordinator to join its team. This is a one Doctor practice, who has an established GP surgery and a Practice Manager. As this is a small private practice, you will be a key player in the running of the surgery, which has a family/team orientated operation, with a hands on support to the Doctor and his patients.


Salary Etc


  • £34k to £37k
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Please note this is a full-time on-site job, and you will need to work on-site / in the practice.

Requirements


  • Ideally you will have experience in a similar role within a private GP practice, although they are willing to consider people from other sectors who have excellent people skills, confident in dealing with high-profile people, able to multi-task, excellent administrative skills and have a willing and friendly manner.
  • Strong communication skills with confident, polite telephone manner, able to liaise with people at all levels, especially high profile and VIPs.
  • At least 5-years experience in a similar role with VIP client/patient interaction.
  • Customer service/relations experience
  • Proficient IT skills and able to use a database, understanding the need to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work accurately
  • Multitasker with good organisational skills
  • Willing to carry out personal errands for the Doctor as well and able to ensure he is aware of changes and amendments to appointments and meetings etc.

Duties To Include


  • Greet in-person and telephone callers and determine nature of their enquiry.
  • Make appointments for patients assessing the nature and urgency.
  • Make external appointments for the Doctor such as: Joint Consultations; Company flu vaccinations; medical appointments, home visits.
  • Prepare daily appointment sheet accompanied by appropriate patient notes.
  • Register new patients and Triage contents of Doctor’s Out Tray.
  • Update patient contact details as required.
  • Forward repeat prescription requests to the Doctor and process.
  • Send referral letters along with relevant blood test results and/or reports
  • Liaise with patients respecting referrals - give contact details of consultant and ask them to make appointment.
  • Order additional blood tests as requested.
  • Order couriers as required. Open and sort mail; frank outgoing mail and post.
  • Collect invoice payments and issue receipts.
  • Send Worldpay links with invoices when patient not present.
  • Order food, stationery, and cleaning products for the Practice.
