Leeds Beckett University is pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to develop into a qualified health and safety professional. Our ideal candidate will already have some health and safety experience and "NEBOSH Certificate" level training.

The successful candidate will be provided with training that satisfies the criteria for "CertIOSH" status with IOSH (the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and, upon successful completion of that training and demonstration of satisfactory performance, the opportunity to progress to a fully qualified Health & Safety Advisor within the University. This will be undertaken whilst working within the diverse environments of Leeds Beckett University, ranging from typical lecture theatres and administration offices to biological laboratories, engineering workshops and state of the art sports research facilities.

As part of the Central Health & Safety Service, you will assist with the provision of advice, guidance and support to the various schools and professional services within the University in the implementation of the University's Health and Safety Management System.

You will be based in Leeds working across our two very different campuses. We have approximately 2,700 colleagues and over 24,000 students at the University. Our vision is to provide a safe working and learning environment by promoting a positive culture and continuously improving the health and safety of our colleagues and students.
