You will work within the Preceptorship and Healthcare Academy team and will be fundamental in delivering education and training to underpin clinical practice.
Co-ordinate the Preceptorship and Preceptor Programmes and the Health Care Academy, working alongside NMAHP colleagues.
Delivery of training to new registrants, Preceptors and Health Care Support Workers
Develop and provide support networks for Health Care Support Workers, Preceptors and Preceptorship Champions and Managers.
Support the delivery of Trust Workforce Strategy under the direction of the Preceptorship and Health Care Academy Lead and Deputy Head of Workforce Development.
Support the development and improvement of a range of high quality and innovative training / specialist education and development services (specialist advice, guidance) that are responsive to the changing learning needs identified at corporate, departmental, and individual levels.
Support the network for Preceptors and Preceptorship Champions and maintain a register of Preceptors.
Proactively provide information, advice, and guidance to ensure that the education needs of a multi-disciplinary team are met effectively at departmental and learner level.
Provide pastoral support for New Registrants and Health Care Support Workers.
Engage with NMAHP students and Health Care Support Worker share the offer available from Newcastle Hospitals, following registration or completion of the Health Care Academy.
Capture data regarding training engagement and present it to support the decision-making process

You will be utilising a range of educational techniques to deliver practical clinical skills which will include simulation training to ensure safe patient care. You will also maintain accurate records and provide pastoral support to Healthcare Support Workers, Nurses, Midwives and Allied Healthcare Professionals.
Both secondment and job share will be considered.
