We are looking for a skilled and reliable caretaker to join our team at a well-respected Primary School in Blyth.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of school buildings, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas
- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work
- Managing the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking doors, monitoring CCTV, and responding to alarms
- Setting up and clearing away equipment and furniture for events and activities
- Providing support for school events, including evening and weekend work as required
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role
- Strong practical skills, with experience in maintenance and repair work
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
- A commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all members of the school community
