We are looking for a skilled and reliable caretaker to join our team at a well-respected Primary School in Blyth.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of school buildings, including classrooms, offices, and outdoor areas
Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work
Managing the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking doors, monitoring CCTV, and responding to alarms
Setting up and clearing away equipment and furniture for events and activities
Providing support for school events, including evening and weekend work as required
Key Skills:
Previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role
Strong practical skills, with experience in maintenance and repair work
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines
A commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all members of the school community
This is a full-time position, with 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, and will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and welcoming environment
