Cardiff
to assist with the appointment of a
Social Work Resource Assistant
, on a
3-month contract

Rate of Pay

: £12.38 - £15.48 per hour



Hours Per Week: 18.50



Summary:


This post is required to provide support to Social Workers and Managers across Adult Services. This will require working within current legislation and following Council policies, procedures and practice


Responsibilities:


  • To contact service users or their representatives to notify them of new care packages starting
  • To contact service users or their representatives to complete 4 weekly phone reviews following changes to care packages.
  • To complete relevant forms and tasks on the Carefirst database and make recommendations to allocated Social Worker following completion of reviews.
  • To assist with the incoming calls from service users or their representatives as part of the duty process signposting and/or passing on relevant information to social workers.
  • To support teams and managers with updating, maintaining social work pending /allocation lists and provide statistical information as required



Experience:


  • Experience of dealing with the public
  • Experience of Microsoft Office including excel and outlook
  • Experience of working to Legislative / Corporate procedures, processes and guidelines

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an basic DBS
