Main duties of the job

The Regional Clinical Educator will be reporting into our Regional Lead Educator and will partner with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospitals Managers to identify training needs across the region. They will be supporting to coordinate the delivery of education services across our hospitals within the South region.The Regional Clinical Educator is responsible for delivering educational support to ensure the workforce is fit for the future and promoting the Company as a future employer to all learners, splitting their time clinically, working with students, new starters, and existing staff undertaking a variety of activities identified through job planning.

Design and deliver clinical education programmes in response to training needs across the region.Act as a mentor to new and existing members of the clinical team overseeing induction, and training programmesWork alongside clinical colleagues to support confidence and competency in the skills required to perform their roles.Contribute to clinical operational activity in order to maintain up to date practice and demonstrate role model behaviours.Work alongside clinical colleagues to act as an assessor to sign off clinical competencies.

  • Significant experience in Ophthalmic Theatre Scrub.
  • Experience of designing, delivering, and coordinating training to a variety of levels of experience
  • Experience of supporting learners in the clinical setting
  • Experience of partnership working across organisational boundaries and collaboration with other professionals.
  • Ability to work flexibly and effectively within a team.
  • Ability to travel to and work across multiple sites.
  • Passion for high quality patient safety and care
  • Positive attitude to working in a growing, changing organisation
  • Proficient IT skills including the use of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, and Power-point.
