Bertie is 9- a wired haired daxie cross jack russell. He is a big character, and a loving, funny little boy who loves company. He has been in the same small homely day care for the last seven years with the same dogs but the day care has now had to close. His needs now are totally different to what they were when he first started. He now needs somewhere homely and quieter with a companion of just one or two friendly dogs and gentle walks . He loves going out but struggles to keep up on long fast walks ,especially on the lead. tending to start off like the clappers and get slower, mainly due to arthritis. B loves people and has some great little dog mates but is reactive towards some large dogs, especially when on the lead. He tends to do his own thing but enjoys having little companions, instigating play when he is in the mood!!!

Bertie likes his routine and can be anxious in new situations. I am a teacher in Beaufort Ebbw Vale and need to drop off at 715 am and pick up 530 pm . He loves the company of people and also would be happy with a nice gentle companion or two as well, as long as he's not left on his own in the house
