Support the Service Manager to develop and implement plans for service improvement and income generation for the Trust both on the Lindo wing site and as required at our other sites.

Ensuring the required capacity of services and ease of access for private patients in the maternity service

Line management of staff and delegated authority on budgets.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day smooth running of the maternity administrative function and will hold a primary responsibility to ensure that patients are offered an experience of the highest quality across other service.

They will ensure that private healthcare income is identified, captured and be a point of liaison for the clinical and supplementary services provided.

  • Improvement of Maternity service planning and delivery
  • To be the lead point of contact for patient experience. This will include developing and leading the VIP packages and customer service training.
  • Manage administrative and clerical staff in the Directorate on the relevant site.
  • Ensure all other administrative functions run smoothly and effectively and all income is captured and maximised in particular that all financial and billing processes are in line with the Trust’s standing financial instructions
  • Assist the Service Manager to income generate for the Trust through private healthcare and meet specified targets.
  • Support Improvement of all service planning and delivery
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in developing package prices for clinical procedures for private healthcare providers, both annually and on ad hoc basis, to maximise income.
  • Provide information, data and analysis relating to activity and income to the Service Manager on a regular basis. Assist with business planning and provide reports.
