Role
The role is based in East Berkshire as part of the East Berkshire Wellbeing Service, supporting individuals with their wellbeing and offering practical support. This is an exciting opportunity for a support worker to join the service, to be based in each of the localities; Slough, Bracknell and Windsor, Ascot & Maidenhead. The successful post holder will deliver guidance advice & support / peer support / group offering / self-management, signposting and develop strong links to local authorities, community services and 3rd sector services to:
- to carry out one-to-one and group support programs with clients based around support for their wellbeing
- Facilitate timely intervention to prevent crisis escalation (& potential need for Secondary Care Mental Health)
- Facilitate appropriate self-management
- Support recovery

- To carry out one-to one and group support programs with clients based around support for their wellbeing.
- To offer service interventions that include tailored support for situational issues including but not limited to: housing, money worries, drug and alcohol use, social isolation, general wellness including sleep, healthy living, resilience and motivation.
- The post holder will liaise with and be a point of contact with other services and the voluntary sector ensuring good communications are maintained.
- The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
- We would welcome applicants who may have had experience working in the voluntary sector including in housing, employment, debt services or have experience of working in a health and social care setting.
