Albyn Medical Practice is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated medical receptionist to join our busy team and help maintain the high standard of care given to our patients.

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact at reception so must have excellent communication with a confident, friendly and courteous demeanour. Applicants should have experience of working in a fast-paced and busy environment, where a high level of attention to detail and accuracy is fundamental. Ideally, applicants should have experience of working in a similar medical environment, but full training will be provided.

Basic IT skills are essential including the use of Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will be expected to learn and use specific clinical software, i.e. EMIS and DOCMAN.

The duties of the role include but are not limited to; general medical reception work, processing prescription requests, efficiently dealing with patient enquiries and appointment requests, registering of new patients, accurately inputting and maintaining medical records and filing of incoming documents.

Applicants should be flexible with their working hours as additional hours may be required at any time to cover leave or sickness absence. We are looking for full time which is 37 hours per week, equating to 4 full days and 1 half day per week.
